Moonlight Basin shares a border and 11,166-foot Lone Mountain with its well known neighbor, Big Sky Resort. It has 80 mapped trails, bowls, chutes and glades on more than 1,900 acres. The lift-served vertical drop is 2,720 feet. The longest run, Horseshoe, is 2.8 miles long.

New services are available at Moonlight Basin’s Madison Base Area this winter including new ski rental and retail shops, expanded mountain concierge services, robotic ski tuning, a new snow sports school center and a new restaurant,the Headwaters Grille. Parking at the Madison Base Area has also been expanded. In addition, the resort is opening the new Border Café at the Pony Express Lodge.
